Under 14's tournament.

Sad to say my last tournament with some of these amazing players but wow, lucky adults to have some fantastic juniors in their squads. Once again Shefford and Sandy amazed everyone with their skills and agility, unbeaten in every game against Leighton Buzzard, Olney, Letchworth and Bedford a&b. However sadly due to time constraints the winner was awarded by goal difference so we came third.

Our passing of the the ball around was unbeatable, with Tom J and Tom A strong in the midfield roll sending constant balls in Freya's direction as she often went round three players in a blink of an eye and scored a once in a lifetime goal- high top corner even the umpire missed it, so quick and powerful that a parent even lay on the floor as they thought it might go through the net ). Corin who had three weetabix was stupendous full of grit and determination making plays that made the crowd quiet. Caitlin and Oli M in defence were a powerful unit, Oli with his lovely passing looks a new player and can see him in an adults team now. Caitlin as ever advanced in hockey skills, awesome defence not getting beat. As Robert looked so confident in the under 12's we asked him to stay for the under 14's wow wow not fazed looked like he had played that level for years amazing. Gracie has stepped it up this season and her determination to beat any goalie was testament to the goals scored today .
My biggest thank you goes to Ben Stone for stepping into goal and being fantastic keeping us in the Bedford game (with little training) can be on a pitch or in a goal and always impressive. I'm as always super proud of our juniors we had lots of compliments from other coaches and parents of other teams.
A massive thank you to all especially the parents who stood in the cold and supported.
